On a beautiful September evening, the GFWC Big Rapids “ladies of the road” beautified the M20 roadside by picking up discarded trash. In one hour’s time, seven members filled five bags, one of which was empty drink cans that were recycled to the Boy Scouts for their camp fund and the can tabs were collected to support the local Ronald McDonald House. They also recovered a large car part that someone “lost". continue reading →

To prevent creeping weeds from invading the Riverwalk flower bed, the City of Big Rapids generously donated pavers which members from GFWC installed. Ann Stellard's creative hands made the beautiful aprons that GFWC members wear when working in the community. Our fearless leader, Sue Johnson, was the driving force who organized the project and meticulously laid each paver with other GFWC members assisting. Our finished work!continue reading →
